But the small size of the keyboard on smartphones can still make it difficult to compose messages, so predictive text (not just T9 predictive text) is still. I've been searching the net for ideas about this problem, and it seems there are lots of people with the same issue. So I contacted the chat helpdesk again, who were unhelpful, and tried to blame it on Google (until I pointed out that it's never been an issue before, and that it doesn't work even in some of Samsung's own apps and functions). I talked to the Samsung chat helpdesk, who suggested trying the Google Keyboard instead, but that does not have a 3x4 option. This was never a problem in my last phone (the S5). It does not work in other areas like the phone's OWN SEARCH FUNCTION, CONTACTS AND SAMSUNG INTERNET APP, the Chrome browser, OneDrive, the Google Play app store, other respectable 3rd party apps. Granted, we all work differently, and I'm not in your shoes.
Check the settings under language and input to see if there may be an option in the auto-correct to add a space automatically. Despite predicitive text in the 3x4 version of the Samsung Keyboard working perfectly in some areas (like messaging, email, Facebook, Google Translate, S Planner, respectable 3rd party apps). Either an update to the keyboard or an update to the texting app changed the way it works.
